ROSALES- The Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. celebrated its 28th Biennial Convention with the theme “Partnership for Progress and Prosperity” at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel last March 27 in a program .
Vice President Jejomar C. BInay, the Guest of Honor and Speaker, dwelt on the role of business in the development of agriculture in the country.
Former Rosales Vice Mayor and now councilor Romy Sim said the FFCCCII is considered the largest organization of Chinese-Filipino businessmen with membership of 170 various chambers, trade and business associations across the Philippines.
Sim said Binay also dwelt on the need to harness not only the natural resources but more so with the human resources of the country to the road to prosperity and progress.
“You may come from different areas of the country, and may be engaged in distinct lines of trade. But no matter where you make your livings, or what your pursuits may be, the sum of your efforts, guided by the goals we have in common, will usher in an era of prosperity that future generations will relish and enjoy,” Binay said.
Sim appreciated the words of Binay when he quoted Sun Tzu on the value of united action that goes:
“There are not more than five musical notes/Yet the combination of these five give rise/to more melodies than can be heard”
Sim said unity is important in public service and he also wishes that partnerships for progress and prosperity will also materialize in Rosales.
