The relief distribution was spearheaded by former 5th District Rep. Mark O. Cojuangco, Abono Partylist Chair Rosendo O. So and members of Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. -Roger Tan and Benny Pua.
“When I was in Sri Lanka the other day, I saw on television our province among those affected by Typhoon Mario. There were flooding in some towns in the province. I immediately called our friends like  Rosendo O. So to extend assistance to our province mates who were affected by flood.  These relief goods are not from the government,” Cojuangco said.DSC00535 DSC00535
So said the relief goods are courtesy of the Filipino-Chinese community who has a ready hand to extend assistance to those affected by calamities.
“Had it not been to the good hearts of the members of the Filipino-Chinese community, this relief operation will not materialize,” So said.
Village chief Santiago Parangan expressed his gratitude to Cojuangco and So for giving assistance to his village, which he said suffered a lot due to a waist- deep flood.
Municipal Councilor Leon Licudo also thanked the Filipino-Chinese Community for the relief goods and hailed Cojuangco, So, Tan and Pua for bringing the relief operations in the village, where he is a district councilor.
