AGNO- A vibrant and a no-nonsense tourism program will end the massive poverty in the town.
This was said by Mayor Jose N. Pajeta, Jr. during the culmination of the 7th Umbrella Rocks Festival last April 30.
He said promotion of the local tourism will alleviate the lives of the people wherein economic and job opportunities are lacking.
“We have a lot of tourism potentials in the town. We have pristine beaches with the famous umbrella rocks. These have to be exploited and harnessed for tourism come ons,” Mayor Pajeta said.
Pajeta is confident that his plan for the town’s tourism development will be supported by Vice Mayor Wilson Rosete and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan.
He also pinned hope of the support of 1st District Rep. Jesus “Boying” Celeste who is very supportive of the town’s development and progress.
Mayor Pajeta urged the townspeople to unite and work together to pursue his plans for the progress of the town.
” We need your continuous support and involvement in all our development endeavors. You are our strength to spearhead our tourism activities and the success will depend much on you,” he said.
