BOLINAO- Public lands in this burgeoning coastal town in western Pangasinan will soon be titled free of cost and other charges by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
This after the DENR and the municipal government here represented by Mayor Arnold F. Celeste had signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of free-land titling of public lands at the Sangguniang Bayan Hall here last March 17.
The signing of the MOA was attended by Vice Mayor Alfonso F. Celeste, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, village leaders, municipal engineer, municipal planning and development coordinator and the municipal assessor.
Under the “Public Land Titling Program”, the Technical Services Division of DENR Region I headed by Assistant Regional Director Gwendolyn C. Bambalan will undertake the land surveying and titling activities in coordination with the municipal government and village officials.
The signing of the MOA on public land titling was simultaneously conducted with the public hearing on the town’s proposed Tourism Code of 2017 at the Don Raymundo Celeste Sports Complex, which was attended by the village officials and tourism industry’s stakeholders in this town.
The public hearing was successful as the participants have given support to all the provisions of the said proposed Tourism Code.
