One-Stop Service Center for OFWs in Region I launched
Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the region can now secure all their requirements under one roof after a one-stop service center has been installed on December 17.
Bureau of Local Employment Director Dominique Tutay led the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Manna Mall in San Fernando City, La Union where the OSSCO is located.
Director Tutay said the OSSCO meets in part the present administration’s thrust to make it easier for Filipinos who are currently working or planning to work overseas to avail of the frontline services of the government.
The OSSCO will offer various facilitative services to reduce transaction time and lessen costs for OFWs.
Following a rotating schedule, the agencies composing the OSSCO are the DOLE-RO I, POEA, OWWA, PITO-La Union, DFA, TESDA, PRC, PHilHealth, MARINA, SSS, Pag-IBIG Fund, PSA, NBI, BI, and CHED.
OFWs can avail of the services of the OSSCO from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
