MANAOAG- Four men suspected as members of carnapping ang carjacking syndicates were killed in a police encounter here last October 14.
Police Senior Superintendent Ronald Oliver Lee, Acting Provincial Director ng Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPPO), said that Manaoag Police Station was provided with flash alarm that the suspects’ vehicle will pass in the area after robbing a gasoline station in Babasit village here.
The suspects did not stop after being flagged down in a check point in Pao village.
They were pursued by the responding policemen and the Highway Patrol Group that led to a bloody encounter.
Killed were Rodrigo Batucan of Olongapo City, Edwin Ignacio of Bataan, Tommy Miranda of Laguna, and an unidentified suspect.
Recovered from the crime scene were various calibers of firearms and ammunitions.
