ASINGAN- This agricultural town in eastern Pangasinan has a new OIC-Chief of Police to oversee police operations and ensure peace and order in the area.
Chief Inspector Junmar C. Gonzales, accompanied by Chief Inspector Ryan L. Manongdo (who was former OIC), paid a courtesy call last September 30 on the municipal officials here headed by Mayor Heidee L. Chua, Vice Mayor Carlo Lopez and members of the Sangguniang Bayan.
“Hindi man ako kasing-husay ni Sir Ryan (Manongdo) ay ipagpapatuloy ko ang lahat ng mga programang kanyang naumpisahan, at dadagdagan ko pa kung ano man ang aking maibabahagi dito sa inyong bayan,” said Gonzales.
(I may not be as good as Sir Ryan (Manongdo) but I will continue all the programs he started and add of what I can do for the town.)
He said he wanted to be familiar with the local officials as his partners in serving the town and also to inform them of his programs on peace and order, campaign against illegal drugs and crimes.
Manongdo was assigned to the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPPO) in Lingayen.
Meanwhile, OIC-Deputy Chief of Police, Police Senior Inspector Reynante B. Organista allayed the fears of the people on OPLAN Tokhang.

(Not all our village and house to house visitations are within OPLAN Tokhang. Like other agencies of the government, it’s part of our duty to coordinate with people regardless of their status in life, for them to fully understand their needs on peace and order.)
