MANGATAREM- Pangasinan guberatorial candidate Mark Cojuangco has earned the monicker “Palengke King” after he campaigned in various wet markets in Pangasinan.
Cojuangco and vice gubernatorial running mate Mark Roy Q. Macanlalay were warmly appreciated and welcomed by market vendors in Urdaneta City, Villasis, San Carlos City, Lingayen and this town for their efforts to reach out and hear their problems.
Ruby Gavina, a vendor of native products of Villasis, was starstruck seeing the two candidates during their “market sorties” and could not believe that Cojuangco will mingle with vendors like her.
(They said Cojuangco is not approachable. But when I saw him, what they are saying is not true. He’s simple in real life. He talked with us without any pretensions. Even Mark Macanlalay is also a very simple person. He’s always smiling and not  snobbish as what his critics say.)

Kristin Magcalas, a lady vendor of Mangataren was all praises  of Cojuangco but regretted not having a photo  taken with him.
” Sayang di ako nakapag-picture sa kanya. Ang bait niya!” Magcalas said.
(It’s a pity, I did not have the chance to to a picture with him. He’s so kind.)
Gavina and Magcalas are two of the thousands of market vendors who were inspired by Cojuangco and Macanlalay during their market vendors consultation.
In his market visitations, Cojuangco took time to talk with the vendors and elicited from them their immediate concerns.

Cojuangco and Macanlalay continuously conducting market visitations in all the 44 towns and its three cities- San Carlos City, Urdaneta City and Alaminos City.
Meanwhile, aside from conducting market visitations, Cojuangco is also joining municipal candidates in their motorcades such as in Laoac, Sison and Urdaneta City.
He’s also the most sought guest speaker in community programs of farmers, youth and senior citizens in the province.
