blacksand complainants

THANKFUL. Four complainants against black sand mining in Lingayen are thankful about the Ombudsman’s decision to affirm its indictment against Governor Amado Espino Jr., two dismissed officials and officers of the companies that the provincial government engaged to remove the magnetite sand in the coastal areas.  They are (from right) Jaime Palisoc, Leo Lopez,  Efren Tactaquin and Eddie Berot. The other photo shows Rolando Rea who painstakingly followed up the case.  (photos courtesy of Nora Dominguez)
