BINALONAN- Gubernatorial aspirant Mark O. Cojuangco lauded the business sector and municipal officials headed by Mayor Ramon “Monmon” Guico III for coming up the First Bazaar in the town, which is just in time for the Christmas season.
The bazaar was opened last November 28 at the town’s municipal plaza that showcase various products coming from Pangasinan and nearby provinces.
“I have witnessed how Binalonan has improved and developed. It is surprising how the town has evolved to its present situation today. I have not seen any town in the province that is swiftly progressing like Binalonan,” Cojuangco said.
He said the progress of the town is not accident but a product of how a leader shows his vision for the improvement of the town.
“ Because of this, Congresswoman (Kimi) Cojuangco and myself are giving our all our support because we have seen that our assistance will not be wasted and in vain. Your mayor (Guico) has a very good governance in your town,” he said.
Cojuangco likened the bazaar to that in Bangkok, Thailand in his visits to some cities in Southeast Asia.
“What gives life to city of Bangkok in Thailand and other cities like Kuala Lumpur and Singapore are like this bazaar in open air, with many trees around, lighted and clean and with facilities to support including a peace and order. Stalls are properly installed where people could buy or just while away their time,” he said.
He said the bazaar in the town is at par with those in other countries. He said the people of the town can converge at the bazaar and by word of mouth other people in nearby towns will visit the place to buy the displayed products.
He further said Congresswoman Kimi and he will continue to support the development activities of the town particularly if he will be given the chance to lead the province as governor in 2016.
