Mark & Mark pledge help to all BHWs in Pangasinan

URDANETA CITY – Pangasinan gubernatorial candidate Mark O. Cojuangco promised thousands of Barangay Health Workers (BHW) here last Wednesday that he and his vice gubernatorial tandem Mark Roy Macanlalay will crisscross the huge province to visit them, see their plight, and hear their concerns.
“Kayo ang mga kapartido namin sa aming program, sa paghatid ng mas magandang serbisyo sa ating mga kapuspalad na kapatid, sa mga barangays. Kayo ang mga kapatiran namin sa programang iyan. Sa basbas po ng bnginoon at sa tulong po ninyo kung makakarating kami sa Lingayen bilang gubernador at bise gubernador ng ating probinsiya (You are all our partners in bringing social services to our poor brothers and sisters in the village. You are our partners in the government programs. With the blessing of God and with your help, we would reach Capitol in Lingayen as governor and vice governor and we want this partnership with you to become permanent,” the former solon told the thousands of BHWs who attended the 12th BHW Congress held at the public gym here.
The other guests of honour that graced the Congress were Macanlalay, this city’s Mayor Amadeo Gregorio “Bobom” Perez IV, Vice Governor Ferdinand Calimlim, Representatives Marlyn Premicias-Agabas (6th District, Pangasinan), and Gina de Venecia (4th District, Pangasinan), and vice presidential candidate and Senator Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Although the Congress was only for the 5th Congressional District, the other participants hailed from other congressional districts of the 44 towns and three cities province.
Cojuangco pledged to the crowd, who were mostly female and garbed in pink shirt for the occasion, that he and Macanlalay will go to every town to meet and know them thoroughly.
“So that we can explain very well our programs for you and the services we are going to give to the people,” he said.
The former congressman said in case he and Macanlalay tandem are elected in the next year’s poll they will see that all BHWs will be taken care of and included in the national budget in connection of their selfless services to the populace.
