MECO Chair Amadeo R. Perez Jr., known also as the de facto Ambassador to Taiwan (China) said his birthday party almost did not push through because he suffered from pain on his chest for several days before his birthday.

“I was rushed to the Sacred Heart Hospital and have my heart checked up. After consultation, I was told by my doctor to have full check up in a hospital in Manila, although I was feeling already fine at that time. Mark (Cojuangco) came to the rescue. He was responsible in getting a helicopter and air lifted me to St. Luke’s Hospital where I was thoroughly checked up by expert medical doctors. I thanked God, they found me in good health- my heart, my lungs, my blood pressure. Everything is fine with me,” Perez said with smile.

He also said because of the good physical test results, he decided to have his birthday celebrated with his family, close friends and relatives as a way of thanking God for having a good health.

“God is always good to me. I know He loves me so much that He has given me this good health to help more people in our city and provincemates,” he said.

He also requested his guests that if they really love him, they should support the gubernatorial bid of Mark (Cojuangco) in 2016 including the vice gubernatorial bid of Calasiao Mayor Mark Roy Q. Macanlalay.

“Mark is a good friend. I assure you that Pangasinan will be in good hands if he will be our governor in 2016. What he had done in the 5th District could be replicated throughout the province. Mark is honest, sincere and not corrupt,” Perez said.

Cojuangco thanked Perez of his endorsement whom he considered not only a friend but a brother and father.

“I feel at home whenever I am here. I am no longer a visitor to them but I feel that I am one of their children,” Cojuangco said.

Perez’s family- wife Alice, Mayor Bobom, son -in- law Cris Naguiat of Pagcor and his wife, other children and grand children entertained the guests.

Aside from Cojuangco and Macanlalay, other well-wishers are Abono Partylist Chair Rosendo O. So, 5th District Rep. Kimi S. Cojuangco, 3rd District Rep. Rosemarie “Baby” Arenas, Pozorrubio Mayor Artemio Chan with his wife and son Vice Mayor Kelvin, Villasis Mayor Dita Abrenica with former Mayor Nato Abrenica, Binalonan Mayor Mon Mon Guico with his father former Mayor Ramon Guico Jr., former Alcala Mayor Manuel Collado and Amy Espino Nitor, chief of staff of Board Member Niño Arboleda.

Some street children of this city were also the special guests of the birthday celebrator who partook of the food gleefully.
