Espino thanks supporters amid ‘dirty political ploy’

LINGAYEN -Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. thanked all Pangasinenses especially those who remained loyal and supportive to him and his family despite the recent political ploy to besmirch his reputation.
In his message during the special Christmas mass at the Capitol Plaza last December 24 at 7 p.m., the governor said Christmas time is supposedly celebrated with joy but with the present crisis that he is facing right now, he disclosed that he cannot experience pure joy in his heart.
“We are supposed to celebrate Christmas with utmost happiness but for the past 10 days so many things happened which is caused by dirty politics.
Despite all these, my family and I are thankful of the continued support that Pangasinenses are giving us,” Gov. Espino said even as he added that quality service for the people remains the top priority of the present administration.
“The entire provincial government is not shaken by the turn of events,” he said.
“Ituloy mi so gagawaen min progreso na Pangasinan parad anak tayo tan anak daray anak tayo,” the provincial chief executive noted.

DAGUPAN CITY—“Mayor Benjamin Lim did a fantastic job cleaning the
city’s rivers,” gushed Lita Esteves, a retired nurse who used to
reside in California after cruising the Dawel River last December 22.

“I have a house in Lasip Grande located near a river. The water there
used to be murky but now, it is free-flowing and it’s clearer. Thanks
to you, Mayor Lim!” she said.

Esteves’s positive reaction was also shared by most of the 26
vacationers — which include Dagupan Hymn composer Rex Catubig– who

ORTIGOZA: HRA will be a bane to Espino’s supporters

During the Barangay Night held recently at the Dagupan City plaza attended by village officials, some political leaders of Rep. Gina de Venecia and Speaker Joe de Venecia have been seething with anger as they walked out from the jampacked occasion.
They took offense at President Emong Vallejos of the Liga ng Barangay “faux pass” of not giving the courtesy due to the de Venecias, his invited guests, by even meeting their entourage and guiding them to their proper table. “Nagmukhang tanga sila Manay and Speaker Joe,” according to a source from the de Venecia camp. “They should not have
done to Speaker Joe, inisip man lang nila na five-time speaker siya, and Manay has given a lot of projects in Dagupan,” Gypsy, Rep. de Venecia’s PR hissed.
Before the incident, supporters of Manay Gina have been giving t-shirts, wallets (of course without a cash), and Fundador to every tables of the 36 villages.

City Administrator Vlad Mata who rushed from Star Plaza after learning that the de Venecias have arrived but left in a huff could only shake his head. “Hinabol ko sila so I could entertain them”.
