McAdore property now up for bidding

DAGUPAN CITY – Bidding is now on for the McAdore property.
The disposal committee headed by Mayor Benjamin S. Lim has started since November 29 to accept bids for the four parcel of lands including the McAdore International Palace building located in Barangay IV here all owned by the city government, with the floor price valued at P106,203,000.
Bids for the former hotel will be received by the committee secretariat steered by City Assessor’s Office in-charge Alan Dale Zarate until the deadline on December 17 at 9 a.m.
Public auction for the property is set an hour after the bidding closes. (more…)

MAGANES: Safe and free elections

Last November 27, Governor Amado T. Espino Jr. called on the municipal mayors of Pangasinan to a consultative meeting regarding the ” Safe and Free Elections 2013 (SAFE).” About 35 municipal mayors heeded his call. The meeting was held at the Pangasinan Training Center in Lingayen attended by Regional Director Franklin Jesus B. Bucayo of Philippine National Police in Region I, Supt. Nick Alarcio, Deputy Commander of 702 Infantry Defender Battalion, Provincial Comelec Officer Marino V.Salas, Vice Governor Ferdinand Calimlim Jr., Police Provincial Director Mariano Luis Verzosa Jr., Board Member Ranjit Ramos Shahani and Liga Ng Barangay Federation President Amadeo T. Enrile pushes for comprehensive agricultural economy

URDANETA CITY- Cagayan 1st District Rep. Jack Enrile said unless the government will refocus its priority on agriculture to have. food sovereignty, security and food self- sufficiency, the agricultural economy will remain at its status quo in the next years to come.

Enrile, who was here to grace the Association of Barangsy Council’s Night, told reporters at Golden Treasure Tea House, that agriculture should be provided with full support in terms of irrigation and credit facilitates to alleviate the lives of marginalized farmers. (more…)

Climate change inevitable- DENR

EDITORIAL: Board of Insensitives

The act of the Board of Investments (BOI) granting a seven-year tax holiday and duty-free importation of raw materials to a Thai-owned foreign investor that will be involved in the high tech production of hogs and poultry in the Philippines is an act of insensitivity.

The House of Representatives will conduct an investigation on the insensitivity of the BOI to the plight of local, we mean Filipino, meat producers.
