My Only Governor…

This remark from Bani Mayor Navarro has once again stirred the political climate in the province.

‘My only governor’ was uttered by Mayor Marcelo Navarro, Jr. when he met defeated 2010 gubernatorial candidate Victor Agbayani during President Aquinos visit to Bani, Pangasinan.

The organizers of the presidential visit snubbed the duly elected Governor Amado T. Espino Jr. by not inviting him to the inauguration of the core shelter project of the government in Bani, Pangasinan.

Will the provincial personalities like the Hon. Ranjit Shahani file a resolution declaring the organizers persona non grata?

They once threatened to do this against Archbishop Oscar Cruz for his expose naming the governor as a jueteng operator.

Does the statement ‘My only governor’ imply that Mayor Navarro does not recognize the incumbency of Governor Espino?

Does the statement ‘My only governor’ imply that Mayor Navarro does not recognize the majority of votes cast by the people of Bani for Governor Espino?

The people will once again see a united provincial government declaring all out support to Governor Espino.

A Manifesto of Support to Gov. Espino from the League of Mayor will come out.

A Manifesto of Support to Gov. Espino from the League of Vice Mayors will come out.

A Manifesto of Support to Gov. Espino from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan will come out.

Both are educated and trained in the prestigious Philippine Military Academy.

Media has been having a feast in the words of anger both have been throwing at each other.

Somebody ought to bring peace between Governor Espino and Mayor Navarro.

i still cannot understand why anybody would even consider exGov. Agbayani as worthy of a Pangasinenses trust after their almost 3 decades of plundering the wealth of Pangasinan. I’m not exactly a fan of Gov. Espino but in fairness to him he loves his province, lives there, has investments there and is proud to be a Pangasinense, not exactly what the Agbayanis did. Everyone knows (including Ranjit), they just bled the provinces resources for their personal benefit. For a lot of people who voted Victor out, it’s anybody but the Agbayanis.
