City mayors plans more efficient public service

ALAMINOS CITY — THE League of Cities of the Philippines ((LCP) is conducting an inventory of the needs and problems of local government units to for resolution and them public service efficient at the local level.
Mayor Hernani Braganza, the LCT secretary general, said the first order of business of the cities organization, was to collect facts and determine the needs of the league’s member-cities, and identify their priority programs and capabilities.
“The survey is a vital source of information and profile of each of our members to enable us work together for the betterment of our constituents at the grassroots level,” he said.
He said the data gathered will be reported to newly elected LCP President Oscar Rodriguez, the mayor of San Fernando , Pampanga, for appropriate actions.
“We can spur growth in the communities after identifying the kind of assistance and skills we can share with our fellow mayors, and harness the talents of their constituents,” he added.
LCP is an organization of 122 city mayors supporting one another and other stakeholders for an efficient work at the city level.
“The country is now ready for reforms,” Braganza said, adding “LGUs will play a key role in pursuing President Aquino’s plannedreforms.”
Braganza, a third-term mayor of this city, , and other LCP officials took their oath of office at Malacanang Monday afternoon.
He reiterated his willingness to share his city’s knowledge on software technology to other LGUs to fast track economic development, cut red tape, increase tax collections and lower operational costs.
Alaminos created a unified database under its One System One Government program to improve efficiency of operations
