School rises from ruins, parents join clean up

CALASIAO– Benjamin Domagas, 60, leads parents and teen-agers in cutting weeds that have overgrown the back of a building of the Bued East Elementary School .

His red shirt already soaked in sweat, he smiled as he took a break from weeding when the Inquirer approached, and pointed to two teenagers working as hard as he was.

“That is my son Richard and that one is my nephew Kenneth. They are both 18 and they are both
graduates of this school. They are here to help clean the school yard,” he said.

Alcala’s vice mayor faces ‘work and challenges’

ALCALA-The vice mayor elect of this town is ready to work and face the challenges as the second highest elected official.

“If you are asking me what will I be facing in the next three years, it will work and challenges,” incoming Alcala Vice Mayor Ryan Paolo Mencias said.

The soon-to-be vice mayor said it was about time the Filipinos and the people of alcla moved on and be vigilant so that their elected officials accomplish their promises to better the lives of the people.
