PDEA raids a drug hub in Region 1

The arrested muslim shabu peddlers in a raid in Brgy. Bunuan Gueset in Dagupan City recently where the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency requested the assistance of the Navy’s Elite Swag to watch the sea, and the Army that lent its men and armored personnel carrier. According to PDEA's REgional Director Bobby Opena, Dagupan City is the distribution hub of Shabu in Regions 1 & 2

Noong 2004 Presidential elections, Ang grupo ng Abono ay nagtulak at nagpanalo sa kandidatura ni FPJ sa buong Pangasinan.

Kanino sumama noong 2004 sina Rina Jimenez David at ang kanyang source?

Nasaan at anong ginawa ni Rina Jimenez David at ng kanyang sinasabing source noong hindi pa natutuloy ang irrigation component ng San Roque Dam?

Nasaan at anong ginawa ni Rina Jimenez David at ng kanyang sinasabing source noong wala pang 10 percent ng total palay production ang bibibili ng NFA mula sa magsasaka?

Mall competitors win in Dagupan

DAGUPAN CITY – Owners of competing malls in Dagupan are not at the helm of this city.

Former fourth district congressman and mayor Benjamin Lim, owner of the Magic Group of Companies, and incumbent Mayor Belen Fernandez, owner of the City Supermarket Inc., were proclaimed mayor and vice mayor of the city.

The two are stiff competitors in the mall industry, with their respective companies owning strings of supermarkets and stores here and in different towns of the province and nearby provinces.
Both are also of Chinese-Filipino descent.

BIR to implement 18 percent taxes to bars

URDANETA CITY –The Bureau of Internal Revenue would be imposing a different tax rate to amusement places as ordered by Commissioner Joel Tan-Torres through a circular dated March 8, 2010.

Revenue District Office-6 chief Merlyn Vicente said that the night and day clubs that the masses patronized would be paying 18 percent amusement tax instead of the 12 percent Expanded Value Added Tax (EVAT).

“The so-called amusement places” according to Vicente, include “videoke bars, karaoke bars, karaoke televisions, karaoke boxes and music lounges.”

Why Binay is winning, according to Rosario

BINMALEY – If Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay surged ahead of competitions in the vice presidential race, it could be because Makati has many “sister towns and cities” in the country.

Binmaley Mayor Samuel Rosario, coordinator of the Binay for vice president movement in Pangasinan, said Makati forged sisterhood pact with 10 towns and three cities in the province.

During a visit to Pangasinan towns last January for bilateral relationships, sisterhood, Binay said Makati has more than 200 sisterhood agreement in the entire country, a program he started in the early 1990s.
