DAGUPAN CITY – One of the founders of the once vaunted political machine Lakas-NUCD Party here have prevailed over his former party mates at the struggling Lakas-Kampi NUCD Party to jump ship and join him to endorse Liberal Party presidential bet Noynoy Aquino.

Former Speaker Jose de Venecia said that he and LP vice presidential contender Mar Roxas have already discussed at his house here recently the plan of the former Lakas members to go public and support Aquino instead of presidential contender Gilbert Teodoro of the Lakas-Kampi – who painfully wallows on a series of pathetic survey outcomes.

“Yes, we are coming out with a manifesto with all the Lakas originals in the next two days to declare Noynoy Aquino for president,” he stressed.

De Venecia said that he would not seek a cabinet position in the Aquino administration because he is already the incumbent chairman of all political parties in Asia where 70% of the world’s population lives.

He also added that Noynoy’s sister actress Kris Aquino has just raised the hand of his son and namesake for the senatorial race.

“Kris Aquino just proclaimed Joey de Venecia. She proclaimed so far only Noynoy Aquino. The second one that was proclaimed was Joey de Venecia,” he said.

His son runs under the Partido ng Masang Pilipino where presidential bet and former president Joseph Estrada is its contender.

After Estrada trounced-out Nationalista Party presidential candidate Manny Villar in the number two slot as based on the April 25-27, 2010 Manila Standard Today newspaper’s pre-poll, the former Speaker said that with just a few more days left before election day, the former president faces time’s constraint to supersede Aquino at the top post of the survey.

In that survey Estrada clinched 22 percent, while Villar slid to 20 percent. It has a margin of errors of + 2 and – 2.

With 38 points on the same pre-poll’s outfit to bank, de Venecia said it would be a tough job for Malacanang Palace to cheat the Liberal Party survey run-away winner.

He said the powerful religious sect Iglesia ni Cristo is coming out to support Aquino’s candidacy too.
