Abono donates medical supplies, equipment

URDANETA CITY – The Abono Party-list donated assorted medical supplies and equipment to Don Amadeo J. Perez, Sr. Memorial General Hospital as part of the group’s continuing assistance to public hospitals in the province.
Abono chair Rosendo So turned-over the supplies and equipment to hospital chief Dr. Maria Vivian Villar on April 23.
So said that through his initiative, civic spirited “kababayans” from the United States donated the medical supplies and equipment which he in turn donated to the hospital.
He promised to the hospital management and staff that he will continue to help in the development of the hospital which is serving the nine municipalities of 5th district of the province.
City Mayor Amadeo R. Perez, Jr. who witnessed the turn over, was enthusiastic that the hospital which was named after his father, is already developed through the initiatives of the provincial government under Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. and 5th District Rep. Mark O. Cojuangco.
“I am glad that this hospital has been carrying out its mandate to serve the medical needs of the people of the 5th district. We are also lucky to have Abono Party-list Chair (Rosendo) So who is not a politician but is continuously help our constituents,” Perez said.
Perez also recalled that the renaming of the district hospital to Don Amadeo J. Perez, Sr. Memorial General Hospital was through the bill passed by the late Rep. Antonio Villar Sr. of Sto. Tomas.
Former Board Member Dioniso “Saffe” Villar, Jr., a provincial board member candidate of 5th District, also lauded the efforts of So in donating the assorted medical supplies and equipment.
He said, “So has a big heart in helping the people of Pangasinan and his benevolence is spread to the neighboring provinces.”
After the turn-over, So was presented with a Plaque of Appreciation by Dr. Villar for his continuing assistance in the progress of the hospital’s facilities and supplies.
