DAGUPAN CITY – Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr. announced that a new city hall will rise in the city after his reelection in May.

He said that the city government may avail of loan for the project, pointing out that since he became mayor in 2007, the city he did not borrow from banks to bankroll any of his pet projects.

Until now this city amortizes the multi-million pesos loan availed by Fernandez’s predecessor former mayor Benjie S. Lim.

“All my projects were funded by the local income since I took the reign of power in 2007,” Fernandez said.

He stressed that even the new city hall will be relocated somewhere like the in Bonuan areas.

He added that he will still be using the present city hall as his office together with the treasury, one-stop-shop, and the market collection office which is undergoing renovation with a budget of two million pesos.

The city hall was damaged by tropical Storm Pepeng in October last year.
