Bello bats for social justice

By Virgilio Sar. Maganes

BAYAMBANG – “There can never be a true justice without a social justice for every Filipino.”

This was said by Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III before the municipal officials , farmers and students of the Pangasinan State University here last February 8as part of his senatorial sorties in the vote- rich province of Pangasinan.

“Senators are supposed to legislate laws and not to investigate which is the work of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and police authorities. Their time has been wasted on investigations. What we need is money for our people to spend for food, education, shelter and other basic needs. That’s where social justice comes in,” he said.

Perspectives: Why Gordon is a political dumb?

By Mortz C. Ortigoza

Presidential bet Richard Gordon is a lousy candidate. His criticism against presidential rival Manny Villar only exposes his ignorance about what is a political campaign.

He assailed Villar for using poverty as an electoral strategy. He said his mother was poor than that of Villar’s mom but he was not exploiting the issue. He added that he went to public school, while Villar went to catholic school.

Di pala kayo marunong sa political strategies, Senador! Dahil diyan sa pagiging gimmick na mahirap ni Villar noon bumulosok iyong popularidad niya, at kayo naman ay nanatiling kulelat.
