Two protagonists for the gubernatorial post in Pangasinan speak about their strengths, and the weaknesses of their opponent after they filed their Certificate of Candidacy at the office of the Commission on Election here.

Mapandan town “last termer” Mayor Ferdinand Calimlim said that he respects the nine years stint in the provincial government of former Vice Governor Oscar Lambino but stressed that he is going to give new hope with his new brand of leadership in the August Chamber of the provincial board.

“I pray that our provincemates will give me a chance to prove what I was saying in the past months in different places in the province,” he added.

Lambino downplayed Calimlim ubiquity in different villages of Pangasinan for the past years.

Calimlim finished his primary and secondary at La Salle-Greenhills, and tertiary education at De La Salle University. He took his Master in Business Administration at Strayer University in Washington DC in USA .

Before he signified his intention for the number two top post in the province, he serves his town for almost nine years or almost three terms.

Calimlim runs under incumbent Governor Amado T. Espino of Lakas-Kampi Party, while Lambino runs under the Liberal Party with former governor and present Congressman Victor Agbayani as his gubernatorial candidate.

Lambino optimistically said that his tandem with Agbayani will win because it is what the people want.
