Gas station owner slay suspect nabbed in Villasis

VILLASIS – Two weeks after the death of Selfide Sison Valeña, police operatives here have already identified her assailant and submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office the needed information for the proper filing of the case.
SPO3 Elmer Rabara, chief investigation officer, told this paper that the suspect is Joseph Valeña, 30, a resident of Station District, Rosales. He is the nephew of the victims’ husband Amado Valeña and is now facing robbery with homicide case.
Last September 3 at 9:50 in the evening, Selfide Valeña, 82 and resident of Poblacion Zone I in this town, sustained five stabbed wounds causing her instantaneous death.

Is saying ‘I’m sorry’ enough?
Saying “I’m sorry” seems to be an admission that you were wrong or you have done something that really hurt someone. Saying “I’m sorry” is also a way of trying to make a situation better. But saying “I’m sorry” is not always the answer a person is looking for when they are hurt or are really in pain.
Mahirap daw bigkasin ang salitang I’m sorry lalo na ng mga lalaki o taong may mataas na ego o pride. Isang sampal daw para sa kanya ang mag-sorry kung naniwala siya na walang mali sa kanyang ginawa.
Pero madali lamang bigkasin umano ang mga salitang ito ng mga taong marunong tumanggap ng pagkakamali.
Sa nakalipas na mahigit dalawang buwan, parang naging ordinaryo na lamang ang dalawang salitang ito. Tatlong beses ko nang narinig ang “I’m sorry” mula sa ilang opisyal ng PNP.

Two mayors to support Lokin’s congressional bid

BINMALEY – Mayor Sammy Rosario said he and Mangatarem Mayor Teodoro “Teddy” Cruz have agreed to support the congressional bid of former CIBAC Party List Rep. Blanca Kim Bernardo-Lokin in the 2nd District.
“Ganyan lang iyan. Iyong unang lumapit ang susupurtahan. Unahan lang!” he explained in the vernacular.
The other rumored congressional aspirants in the second district are Police Gen. Leopoldo Bataoil and Provincial Board Members Nick Reyes and Von Mark Mendoza.
