A corrupt BIR examiner?

mortz2According to a new Commission on Election rulings, filing of candidacy for all political aspirants – from president to municipal councilor – will be on November 1 to 30, 2009.

It’s a double whammy for the Filipinos.

Imagine, they don’t only celebrate Christmas, but politician running for public office will be obliged to give goodies and monies to the masses who have not experienced this kind of generosity since time immemorial.

As the 2010 national and local polls come nearer, some aspirants are busy filing cases in court against incumbent officials they are not only going to challenge, but they must put into bad light.

Binmaley mayor eyeing a congressional seat?

By Mortz C. Ortigoza

BINMALEY -– The mayor of this first class town would neither confirm nor deny rumors in the political circle that he was eyeing the second congressional seat if the incumbent congressman runs for another office.

Mayor Simplicio “Sam” Rosario told reporters that he would not comment on the query if he will step down from his mayoral post and run for the congressional office in the May 10, 2010 poll.

He however said that there were public and private individuals in the said district who goad him to lead them in congress after hearing and reading news stories that their Rep. Victor Agbayani is bent to stage a comeback against incumbent Governor Amado T. Espino next year.
