ROSALES- Shoppers from Pangasinan and neighboring provinces can now have a complete experience of total shopping, leisure and entertainment at the SM City Rosales, which opened its second phase last May 15.

The second phase consisted of a department store, food court and four cinemas.

The opening was led by owner Henry Sy and prominent personalities in the province composed of former Agrarian Secretary Conrado F. Estrella, 6th District Rep. Conrad M. Estrella III, Abono Party-list Robert Raymund M. Estrella, Jr., Vice Governor Marlyn Primicias-Agabas, Rosales Mayor Ricardo V. Revita, Presidential Management Staff Secretary Hermogenes C. Esperon, Jr. and national artists Bien Lumbera and Francisco Sionil Jose.

It will be recalled that the SM City Rosales’ first phase opened its doors in November 2008, whose services include the Hypermarket, ACE Hardware, SM Appliance Center, Watsons and other retail stores and food outlets.

With the opening of its second phase, Revita said that the SM City in the municipality has helped a lot in alleviating the lives and lifestyles of his constituents.

“Almost 60 percent of the workers in the mall are from Rosales and I am glad that it has contributed in the unemployment problem of the municipality,” he said.

Esperon, on the other hand, said that the SM City was a big boost to the economy in the sixth district of the province.

Mellie Perez, a shopper from Villasis, said that it will now be easier for her to shop and buy her family’s needs in the mall.

“I can’t ask for more. Everything is found in the super mall including entertainment facilities. Now I can watch my favorite movies at the SM Cinemas,” she said.

SM City Rosales is located along the Mc Arthur Highway in Carmen East village here. It has a total built up area of more or less 61,000 square meters of the 121,685 square meters property. It has also a wide parking facility that could accommodate 700 vehicles and located near the Carmen Central Transport Terminal for inter-town public transportation.

Aside from its anchor outlets, SM City Rosales has boutiques like Guess, Bench, Penshoppe, For Me, Fold and Hung and Giordano. It boasts also the presence of specialty shops such as the National Book Store and fast food center like the Chowking, Jollibee, Greenwich, Pizza Hut and Max’s Restaurant.

The construction team of the mall includes DSGN Associates, mall designers; Jose Siao Ling and Associates, architects; new Golden City Builders, general contractors; and DA Abcede and Associates, project managers.
