Empowering trafficked women

SY filesHow should we empower victims of trafficking to become survivors? Give them livelihood programs; give them counseling; give them shelter; give them free legal service; give them or use human rights approach; give them everything they deserve to receive as victims.

Most trafficking victims are children and women from poor families. Oh! Not only poor but very poor, hindi nakapagtapos ng pag-aaral kaya’t mas madaling maging biktima.

After the seminar and training on human trafficking held at the Leisure Coast Resort, the Dagupan City PNP elements headed by Inspector Marites Aradanas eagerly operated on its campaign against anti-flesh ordinance or human trafficking, this time armed with more understanding on the trafficking law.

In Dagupan, the most common problem is prostitution.
